WW1 REMEMBERANCE AND BEYOND

WW1 REMEMBERANCE AND BEYOND

Following the recent nationwide events to commemorate the centenary of the Armistice, Remembrance Sunday Services coupled with a renewed and growing interest, and awareness of the sacrifices of those who fought in the 1914-18 conflict, a few people have indicated that they would like to visit or re-visit the battlefield sites of Ypres and The Somme.
St Mary’s Church, Charminster organised a very successful 3 day trip in 2013 and we would be willing to organise another in 2019 if there is sufficient support – (we need a minimum of 25 people to make it viable)
If you would be interested in joining a group on such a trip, or know of any else who would, please contact Bernard Tinker (tel. 01305 213403) for further information.
